Lamborghini comes with the Gallardo Superleggera

As we mentioned earlier, Lamborghini announced that they will come with a special sportscar. Hereby the exclusive preview of the all new Gallardo Superleggera. The Superleggera is faster, more aerodynamic, less heavy and is going to be the competitor of the Ferrari F430 Challegene Stradale. The Superleggera is not going to be limited and it is not seen as tuning, like the Gallardo Hamann or Miura Corse but more as a brand new model.

Thanks to a lot of carbon fibre Lamborghini managed to reduce the weight with 100 kilos. The engine is upgraded to a stunning 530 bhp which accelerates the car to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.8 seconds! The 5.2L V10 is 0,15 second fast than a general Gallardo but speed matters these days. The top speed remains 315 kilometers per hour. The Gallardo Superleggera got a huge spoiler on the back of the car.

Looking at the interior Lamborghini placed some Sparco sport seats and the dashboard and center console are made out of carbon fibre. The Gallardo Superleggera is going to be the opponent of the Ferrari F430 Challenge Stradale which will be presented in december this year.

Official pictures of the Audi A5!

Audi placed some pictures of the new A5 on their website. These are the official pictures. As we can see Audi has built an incredible gorgeous coupe which is based on the A4. Audi said they will come with a whole new generation of the A4 by the end of this year.

Well, back to the A5. The A5 is another new car that will be revealed at the Geneva Motorshow. Audi built a coupé where you can actually sit in the back! There will be a 2.0L TFSI four-cilinder version with 177 and 201bhp and a 3.2L V6 with 325bhp. Ofcourse there will also be a diesel which comes as a 2.0L with 170bhp, 2.7L with 190bhp and 3.0L with 238bhp.

Later on Audi will produce a S5 with a 4.2L V8 FSI with 350bhp and a RS version which will have the engine of the RS4: 4.2L V8 with 420bhp.

The only thing we can say is that the car looks incredibly good!

Maserati GT revealed!

A few days ago we already presented a small impression of the new Maserati GT. We can now show you the first pictures of the final car. Maserati has built an amazing car together with Pininfarina. Looking at the grille we can definately recognize the Quattroporte in it as well as those three air intakes on the side of the car.

The Italian car manufacturer will put a 4.2L V8 in the car which produces 405bhp. GT stands for GranTurismo and that's also going to be the name of this car. No more, GT as in the 3200GT and 4200GT, this will be called a "GranTurismo".

The Maserati factory in Modena already made some space for the production of the new car so we're quite sure this car is going to be seen on the road in a while. The general audience can check out this car for the first time at the Geneva Motorshow another Italian car company, Lamborghini, will come with something special.

Mercedes Benz McLaren SLR Roadster

We already had the 'normal' McLaren SLR and the 722 Edition but from next year there will be a convertible version of the SLR. Mercedes Benz confirmed that they want to have the SLR Roadster before the summer of 2008.

Mercedes came with the SLR in 2003 when they were working together with McLaren. Three years later they designed the 722 Edition, not really a new car as it didn't change a lot. Except for the engine, it gained 24 extra bhp. Mercedes might want to try to create the fastest convertible ever made. That means that it has to go 11 km/h faster to get near a Pagani Zonda F which doesn't go any faster than 345. Those 24 bhp in the 722 only creates 3 km/h more speed.

As said the SLR Roadster should be available from next year, before the summer so people can cruise around during the summer. We're quite curious how the car is going to perform and if it will really be the fastest convertible.

Hot in Geneva: Donkervoort D8 GT

Dutch car manufacturer Donkervoort has built a GT. After Wiesmann it was time for Donkervoort to build a GT. The D8 GT will come with a four cilinder engine from Audi and there will be three different versions of the car: 180, 210 and 270bhp. Donkervoort will make it's official debut at the Geneva Motorshow this March. The GT has been built on the same chassis as the normal D8.

The roof has been made out of two pieces of carbon fibre. The potential of the higher speeds are achieved by decreased air resistance and the downforce that is improved.

Versions: 180, 210 and 270bhp.
Speed: 0-100kmh in less than 4 seconds.
Topspeed: over 250kmh.
Length: 3,71 meters, 30cm longer than a normal D8.

Donkervoort is planning to build 50 units of the GT per year and prices will be announced this year. At the moment Donkervoort doesn't have any customers for the D8 GT yet but they should be coming after the Geneva Motorshow or the Amsterdam Autorai one month later.

Impression of the Maserati GT Coupé

Maserati will present it's brand new GT Coupé this March at the Geneva Motorshow. The impression looks just a little bit different than the spyshot. Although you won't be able to see a lot on the spyshot thanks to all the tape covering the car.

There isn't a lot of information available at the moment, it's known that the car will get a 5.0L V8 from Ferrari and the engine will have about 470bhp. For now, the front looks okay, the rear weird, it's like having the back of your stationwagon on a coupé!

Audi comes with more economical A3 TDI

Audi already had a pretty clean and economical A3 but there is always room for improvement. The German car manufacturer presents the even more economical A3 with a 1.9L TDI engine. Audi wanted to reduce the emission of CO2. The average use is reduced from 4.9L to 4.5L per 100 kilometers. Co2 emission lowers from 132 gram per kilometer to 120 gram per kilometer. Audi managed to do this by increasing the third and fifth gear.

Way to go Audi!

Zagato builds new car for Diatto

The kid who got lost is hoping to be back in business with a new model. Italian designbureau Zagato created the Ottovù Zagato, a new model for Italian car builder Diatto.

Check out the first image of the new car issued by Zagato. Diatto and Zagato were close friends in 1922 when they worked together. Diatto was already making vehicles in the beginning of the twentieth century. The Ottovù will be made completely out of aluminium and be the second car Zagato will show on the Geneva Motorshow.

Byebye Vanquish! Hello Ultimate Edition!

After making 2000 units of the Vanquish, Aston Martin thought it was time to end to the production of the Vanquish by making a special edition of it. The British manufacturer of luxury sportscars announces that, with 321 km/h, the Vanquish S is the fastest productioncar ever made in the town of Newport Pagnell.

To make the car really yours, Aston Martin will place a special badge with the serial number.

What it looks like? Well, the front of the car looks like a Gallardo, the rear lights look like they came straight from the Bugatti Veyron. The car looks amazing and these pictures are quite unique.
