First Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé sold!

Rolls Royce has auctioned the first Phantom Drophead Coupé made for the American market. The car was sold for the astonishing amount of 2 million dollars. The four-seat-convertible is sold to someone from the state of Florida who will be the first owner of the new model.

The manufacturer of luxery cars said that 1.6 million dollars will go a charity organisation called "Naples Children and Education foundation". The remaining 400k will go to Rolls Royce who said it has never ever sold a car for this much money.

Rolls Royce will start building the cars this year and all of the 2007 production has been sold already. The Netherlands will receive a few cars as well but how many can not be confirmed yet.
