Mercedes Benz McLaren SLR Roadster

We already had the 'normal' McLaren SLR and the 722 Edition but from next year there will be a convertible version of the SLR. Mercedes Benz confirmed that they want to have the SLR Roadster before the summer of 2008.

Mercedes came with the SLR in 2003 when they were working together with McLaren. Three years later they designed the 722 Edition, not really a new car as it didn't change a lot. Except for the engine, it gained 24 extra bhp. Mercedes might want to try to create the fastest convertible ever made. That means that it has to go 11 km/h faster to get near a Pagani Zonda F which doesn't go any faster than 345. Those 24 bhp in the 722 only creates 3 km/h more speed.

As said the SLR Roadster should be available from next year, before the summer so people can cruise around during the summer. We're quite curious how the car is going to perform and if it will really be the fastest convertible.

Hideous looking fagmobile with a nose ring in the front end and big ugly looking MB logo on the Mercedes grille, it made it looks even uglier sweet!...
