Spyker might takeover Lotus

Dutch car manufacturer Spyker has plans to takeover Lotus, the British producer of small and fast sportscars. It is said that Lotus will be producing the new Spyker D12 and the production of other Spyker cars might move to the United Kingdom.

Spyker CEO Victor Muller has signed a 'letter of understanding', a pre-contract with Lotus in the UK. This is not the first time Spyker has shown it's interest in Lotus. A few years ago Spyker said they were interested in taking over some production lines of Lotus. The British car manufacturer is not in an amazingly good financial condition. Lotus is part of the Malaysian car company Proton.

We'll keep you updated on the progress.
