Update: Spyker only interested in Lotus

According to Dutch car magazine Autovisie, Spyker has only shown it's interest to take over Lotus but there are no plans of actually buying Lotus. This was said by Spyker CEO Victor Muller. "It's not true that we are going to take over Lotus Cars. We are interested but that's a long shot: there are ten more candidates and Proton, the owner of Lotus, hasn't officially put the business up for sale."

Muller also says it's complete nonsense that they will move the production to England. "That's never going to happen. Spyker is Dutch, that's what makes us unique. And why are we building a brand new factory in Zeewolde then?"
