Ferrari F430 Challenge Stradale? No... Ferrari F430 Scuderia!

The Ferrari F430 Challenge Stradale will not be given the name "Challenge Stradale". The lightweight version of the F430 will not get the same name as the lightweight version of the 360 Modena. Ferrari came up with the name F430 Scuderia. Michael Schumacher will officially present the car and the name at the IAA, the Frankfurt Motor Show in september.

The figures are impressive thanks to a very low weight/power ratio. The 4.3 liter V8 will produce 510 bhp and it will weigh 100 kg less than the street version: 1250 kg. The front and rear brakes are carbon ceramic discs. Car has a 260 cm wheelbase and the length will be 4512 cm. Ferrari will use a F1 gear box. You will basically get a car with a complete F1 system under the hood. Shifting gears will go in 60 milliseconds, that's only 30 milliseconds slower than a F1 car. The FXX is even slower in shifting gears: 80 milliseconds.

How amazing must this be to drive. We recently wrote about the F430 Challenge, its big brother on the track, two stunning which not only good but sound good. Well, at least that's what we hope from the F430 Scuderia.

This is one bad-ass car...
