Ford GT on Dutch license plates!
These are pictures from the first Ford GT on Dutch license plates. This car has been parked at a dealership for a long time and has been in the country since December 2006 but unfortunately it never got out! The car has been spotted once in Amsterdam on green dealership plates but the car got it's final license plate on February 1st. This car sounds absolutely awesome, great sound and a very nice color.
But there is more! Inside sources say this is not the only Ford GT in Holland. There are at least 3 more but they never leave the stable. And that's a bummer, those cars should be driving on the road.
The Ford GT is the fastest car ever built by Ford. The GT is a rebirth of the GT40 used in the sixties in various Le Mans races. Ford gave the new car a 5.4 liter V8 engine that produces 550 bhp. From 0 - 100 kilometers per hour takes only 3.3 seconds. Ford has built 4500 GT's but only a handful of them reached Europe, most of them found an owner in the United States. The topspeed is almost 330 kilometers per hour, insance for the Dutch highways but a dream for the German autobahn!

Porsche speeding on Dutch highway
This morning the Dutch police reports about a Porsche doing 212 kilometers per hour on the Dutch highways. In Holland, the maximum speed is 120 kilometers per hour so the driver must have been in a hurry. The driver is a 48-year-old male from the town of Breezand. The petrolhead reached this speed on the A7 highway near the Frisian township of Uitwellingerga.
Local police was doing a routine check with their video vehicle when the Porsche passed by. They managed to stop the driver near Sneek, another village in the province in Friesland, in the northern part of Holland. The driver lost his drivers license for at least ten days. The district attorney will decide what will happen to the driver.
